In view of the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, people in Gurugram have been asked to remain alert. The district administration has banned some things from May 9 to July 27 under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023. Legal action will be taken if this is violated.

The Gurugram administration has imposed a strict ban on drones, gliders, fireworks and other flying objects from May 9 to July 7, 2025. The order comes in the wake of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

This ban has been implemented under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023. The following items will be banned during this period- drones, micro light aircraft, gliders and power gliders, hot air balloons, kite flying, Chinese micro lights, fireworks and crackers (during any festival).

Any person violating this rule will be prosecuted under Section 223 of the Indian Justice Code, 2023. Officials said that this step is necessary to avoid confusion, prevent panic and keep law and order under control. People have been asked to follow the rules and be vigilant for the safety of everyone. This notice has been issued by Gurugram District Magistrate Ajay Kumar.

Earlier on Friday, Pakistani drones were seen in Jammu, Samba and Pathankot sectors. India had launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The operation was carried out in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 people were killed.
