Gurugram News: Two who snatched mobile phone were sentenced to five years

Gurugram. In the case of snatching a mobile phone from a laborer two years ago, the district court has convicted two accused and sentenced them to five years of imprisonment.

Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 each on both the culprits. This order has been given by the court of Additional Sessions Judge Jasbir Singh. Raman, originally a resident of Hardoi, told in the complaint given to IMT Manesar police station that he lives on rent in village Dhana and works as a laborer in a company. On October 15, 2021, at around eight o’clock in the morning, he was going towards the company on foot.

Meanwhile, two youths riding a motorcycle came and snatched his mobile phone and ran away. On the complaint of the victim, IMT Manesar Sector-7 police station registered a case and arrested Rehan Malik and Mohammad Sehwaz, residents of Uttar Pradesh, from Manesar bus stand.

The police had also recovered the mobile phone from him. After hearing both the sides, the court convicted Rehan Malik and Mohammad Sehwaz. Has been sentenced to five years imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 25 thousand has been imposed. In case of non-payment of fine, he will have to undergo additional punishment of six months.
