Gurugram News: With the completion of this project, lakhs of people of dozens of areas including Village Khandsa, Sector 10A, Sector 37, Khandsa Road, Sector 10, Kadipur, Pataudi Road, Saraswati Enclave, Basai will be benefited. On the one hand where the traffic will be normal, on the other hand people will get the facility of public transport.
Metro and elevated road from Hero Honda Chowk on NH-48 to Umang Bhardwaj Chowk will be built on a single pillar. Regarding this, GMDA, NHAI and HMRTC have started work on the plan. Both the projects are to be built on this road, so that there is less use of space, so a plan with only one pillar is being considered.
In Delhi, work has already been done on this type of project in many areas. Work can also be done under double decker in this project. However, before this there are dozens of hurdles in this project. GMDA will hand over this road completely encroachment free to NHAI. After this, NHAI has a plan to make six lanes and elevated. Whereas HMRTC will work for Metro.
185 crore will be spent on the project.
If work is done on the two kilometer 200 meter road from Hero Honda Chowk to Umang Bhardwaj Chowk under the entire project, then apart from the six lane road, an elevated road will be built here. 45 crore will be spent on six lane road. If both road and elevated are built then 185 crores will be spent. NHAI has conveyed both these projects to GMDA and HMRTC. Along with this, the government has also been informed about this.

Along with the elevated expressway, a metro route is also proposed on this road of about two and a quarter kilometres. Apart from the state and central government, the metro has got approval from everywhere. Due to this, both metro and elevated can be built on this road only on one pillar. The plan is being considered regarding this. Due to paucity of space, the project under this plan may get shelved. In many places in Delhi, metro and elevated road have been built on a single pillar.
These are the obstacles on this road
Delhi is still far away for the construction work on this road to start. There are many hurdles to be overcome here. GMDA has to remove these hurdles and hand over the road to NHAI and Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited (HMRTC) for the project. The biggest hurdle in this is the 66KVA substation. It has to be shifted from here. There are high tension towers and electricity poles close to 375. This CNG station is coming on this road. There is a Himgiri Ashram spread over four and a half acres. There is a public toilet of the Municipal Corporation here. Apart from this, around 510 trees are also here.
A plan is being considered to have the metro route from Hero Honda Chowk to Umang Bhardwaj Chowk and the elevated one on a single pillar. GMDA, HMRTC and NHAI are working together regarding this.

An NHAI official said that the plan of metro and elevated road is being considered on the same pillar on this road. Talks are on with GMDA and HMRTC regarding this. After this the tender process will start. However, before this many obstacles have to be removed from this road.
