Gurgaon, 21 June 2026 – A shocking road‑rage episode unfolded on Saturday afternoon in the bustling streets of Gurgaon, leaving a Delhi resident injured and two local youths in police custody.

The incident occurred near Rajiv Chowk when Abhishek Chaudhary, a resident of Delhi, was driving his vehicle back home on Sohna Road. As he approached the intersection, a black Mahindra Scorpion motorcycle, ridden by two young men, began to weave erratically in front of his car, forcing him to honk repeatedly.

According to the victim’s account, when Chaudhary failed to give the bike enough space to pass, the riders stopped their vehicle, got out, and approached his car armed with wooden sticks. The attackers struck the car’s windows with the sticks, shattering the glass and causing Chaudhary to sustain facial injuries.

Quick to react, Chaudhary recorded the assault on his smartphone, capturing both the license plate of the Scorpion and the faces of the assailants. He later uploaded the footage to social media, where it rapidly went viral, prompting widespread condemnation and calls for swift action.

Gurgaon Police responded promptly. Within a few hours of the video gaining traction, officers from the Sadar Police Station filed a case and arrested the two suspects at the scene. The detained individuals have been identified as Paarth Yadav and Paras Yadav, both 22 years old and residents of Fazilpur, Vipul World. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.

Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar clarified that the investigation revealed a verbal altercation between Chaudhary and the riders after the driver allegedly failed to give the motorcycle a side lane. The disagreement escalated, leading the youths to launch the violent attack with the sticks.

The Scorpion bike used in the assault was seized by authorities as evidence. Kumar added that the case has been formally registered and will proceed according to legal provisions, with the investigation still ongoing.

Road‑rage incidents have been on the rise across the National Capital Region, prompting law‑enforcement agencies to intensify monitoring of traffic‑related violence. Experts note that aggressive driving, especially in congested corridors like Sohna Road, often triggers confrontations that can quickly turn physical.

Legal analysts point out that the assailants could face charges under the Indian Penal Code for causing hurt (Section 323) and for criminal mischief (Section 436), in addition to offenses related to dangerous driving. The rapid arrest demonstrates Gurgaon Police’s commitment to deterring similar behaviour and upholding road safety.

Abhishek Chaudhary, who received medical attention for his injuries at a local hospital, expressed relief that the perpetrators were apprehended so quickly. He also thanked the police for their swift response and urged fellow motorists to remain calm and avoid retaliatory actions.

The viral video continues to circulate on platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram, sparking discussions about driver etiquette, the role of social media in accountability, and the need for stricter penalties for road‑rage offenses.

Authorities have urged anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses additional footage to come forward. The police have also launched a public awareness campaign encouraging drivers to report reckless behaviour and to use non‑violent means of conflict resolution.

As the investigation proceeds, the two arrested BBA students remain in custody pending further judicial proceedings. The case serves as a stark reminder that road safety is a shared responsibility and that unlawful aggression on Indian streets will be met with decisive legal action.
