During a campaign meeting for the upcoming municipal elections in Rewari district, MLA Bimla Chaudhary from Pataudi in Gurugram made an unusual announcement while addressing a public gathering. Chaudhary, who was present to campaign for the BJP candidate, declared that whoever votes will have their marriage arranged.
“No bachelor will remain in this district,” MLA Chaudhary stated while seeking votes for the BJP candidate. She made the announcement during a rally for the Nagar Parishad elections scheduled to take place in Rewari district on Thursday.
Harikela’s Health Minister Aarti Rao was also present on the stage at the time. When MLA Chaudhary made her announcement, Health Minister Aarti Rao chuckled and remarked that it seemed the MLA had opened a “marriage bureau.”
When someone in the crowd asked if MLA Chaudhary would arrange their marriage if they won, the MLA responded that she has already arranged many marriages in the past and promised to take responsibility for the marriages of young people who have not yet married.
