Gurugram . The possibility of getting the gift of 100 bed block under construction near Civil Hospital next year has increased. Tenders for the fifth floor have been opened by PWD, and the tender will be allotted to the company in 15 days. After this, the construction work will start within a month. Currently, about 80 percent work has been completed till the fourth floor.
There is a huge crowd of patients
More than 2500 people visit the OPD every day in the hospital and more than 200 are admitted. Apart from this, there is a huge crowd of patients for emergency and other tests. Patients have to face problems due to lack of beds. In view of all such problems, approval was received from the Directorate in 2018 to build an additional building of 100 beds here. This building was to be constructed by January 2024 at a cost of Rs 90 crore.
60% work has been completed
The objective was that this would reduce the load on the hospital and provide convenience to the patients. Rs 47 crore was paid for the construction work in November 2019. About 60 percent of the work has been completed with this. But the remaining Rs 43 crore was not received till 2024.
The DPR was prepared again
A plan was made for a 32-bed ICU and centralized air conditioning on the fifth floor of the block under construction. A proposal of Rs 35 crore for centralized air conditioning and Rs 12 crore for a 32-bed ICU ward was prepared and sent again. This was increased by another Rs 4 crore. In such a situation, files were moved several times to the government for Rs 47 crore instead of Rs 43 crore.
Serious patients can be examined
In this five-storey building, one floor will be dedicated for ICU patients. This will enable patients with severe high blood pressure, severe infection and accident victims to get treatment in the district hospital itself. Their real time monitoring will be possible. Purchase of equipment for the hospital to examine patients will begin after the building is constructed.
