New Gurugram. A large-scale demolition drive was carried out by the District Town Planner Enforcement (DTPE) of the Town and Country Planning Department on Tuesday at Saraswati Kunj located at Golf Course Road, Sector-53 in New Gurugram. During this, 85 concrete slums and 230 kutcha slums were demolished.
Two green areas were also evacuated
It was told that these illegal constructions were spread over 10 plots of 500 to 750 yards. Apart from this, two green areas were also cleared. Only one pocket was targeted in today’s campaign.
The new restaurant was demolished
This campaign was run under the leadership of DTPE Amit Madholia. During this time, strict action was also taken against illegal commercial activities. In this, Foresta Restaurant which was running on a residential plot was sealed. The new restaurant being built on plot number 31 was demolished.
At the same time, the four-storey building with stilt parking built on Plot No. 33 in which Zepto Store and grocery carts were operating was also sealed.
Rapid action is being taken in Saraswati Kunj
Town Planning is continuously carrying out demolitions in Saraswati Kunj. Due to ownership disputes on plots, there is a ban on passing maps and construction in the colony. Permission is given only on those plots on which there is no legal dispute. But despite this, illegal construction is being carried out continuously in the colony and on empty plots, slums are illegally constructed and given on rent.
Sites of CLU cases will be surveyed
The enforcement wing of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) will survey the sites of rejected CLU (land use change) cases. The GMDA has the jurisdiction to approve CLU cases in 42 villages and these are given under the provisions of the 1963 Act. Recently, the CTP GMDA had a meeting to discuss the status of CLUs that have been rejected or returned. Even if the LOI (letter of intent) has expired, there is a need to check the status of all these sites.
According to DTP Enforcement RS Bath, orders were issued by forming three teams, each of which will have three members and will be headed by the respective ATP. Mangeram, Satinder and Anchal ATPs will lead these teams and will report to RS Bath.
135 sites will be inspected
According to officials, it has been observed that there are about 135 sites that need to be surveyed and the ATP has started the survey. If it is found that any obstruction still exists then it will be considered illegal and action will be taken as per the law.
