Gurugram Projects: 250 crores will be spent on 11 projects of Gurugram, the picture of the city will change

Gurugram Projects : The High Power Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC) meeting approved the allocation of 11 infrastructure development projects of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) worth Rs 249.77 crore. The meeting was held in Chandigarh on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

The projects approved in the meeting are designed to further improve road infrastructure, enhance connectivity, improve public transport services, facilitate pedestrian safety and equitable distribution of water supply in the city.

Rs 166 crore for road repair

Allocation of works worth Rs 166 crore was approved for special repair of 64 km master sector dividing roads and 17.2 km service roads in Gurugram.
Bus depots and bus queue shelters will be built

Work will be done to meet the growing demand for public transport services of citizens in future and to provide seamless public transport services in all parts of Gurugram. Three projects of GMDA worth Rs 50.77 crore were approved for allocation to facilitate the development of additional bus depots and bus queue shelters in Gurugram to equip the city with adequate infrastructure.

Depot for e-buses will be built in Sector-48

The works to be done by the Mobility Division of GMDA include development of bus depot for e-buses in Sector-48 of Gurugram, development of bus queue shelters in GMDA area from Southern Peripheral Road to Northern Peripheral Road in Sector 68-95 of Gurugram. Also, development of bus queue shelters in GMDA area along Dwarka Expressway in Sector 99-115 of Gurugram. About 154 new bus queue shelters will be built under this project.

Four foot over bridges will be built

Apart from this, the construction of foot over bridges was also approved to facilitate the safe movement of pedestrians, under which GMDA will build four foot over bridges in the city at a cost of Rs 16 crore. Foot over bridges will be built at Sector-14 Market, near Raheja Mall on Sohna Road, at CD Chowk on Sohna Road and on Sheetla Mata Road.

Smart water management solutions will address drinking water crisis

A major project approved for allotment involves supply, installation, integration and commissioning of Centralised Integrated Water Management System (CIWMS) on GMDA’s 1300 mm master water supply pipeline from WTP Basai to Boosting Station Sector 16 and further to Sectors 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 25A, 26, 26A, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 39, 43, 45.
