SARAS Mela 2024: 10 to 20 percent discount on Diwali, great sale of decorative items and clothes

SARAS Mela 2024: There was a hustle and bustle in Saras Ajeevika Mela 2024 from morning to late night on Sunday. While people bought items to decorate their homes for Diwali, they were also seen preparing to decorate themselves with the items from Saras Mela. Decorative items and clothes were sold in large quantities. This time, Lakhpati Didis have arrived with their unique products to promote the art and culture of rural India. The discount of 10 to 20 percent on the products prepared by women on the special occasion of Diwali in the fair attracted people a lot.

The products made by Lakhpati Didi of rural areas include things like home decoration, handicraft, jewellery, and food items. The purpose of this discount is to connect customers with local products and promote their purchase.

Fragrant handmade soaps and shampoos

Handmade soaps and shampoos are in the news these days at the Saras Mela. Mumtaz, a resident of a small village in Himachal Pradesh, has prepared handmade soaps and shampoos. These soaps are completely chemical free and have been prepared according to the skin.

She prepares soaps of rose, cucumber, aloe vera, mint, amarbel, charcoal, apricot and other flavours. Some soaps are prepared on special order in which coconut pieces and other flowers are added whole. There are soaps ranging from 30 to 110 rupees. Apart from this, she also prepares handmade shampoo and hair oil.

Lakhpati Didi made her mark in hand painting

Saras Mela’s Lakhpati Didi Bismita has made her mark in hand painting on lamp side, pat chitra, coir, chandua, rings, temples, bookmarks, and taal patra in the last 15 years. She also makes artworks of Ramayana and Mahabharata as well as idols of Jagannath and Krishna.

On the other hand, Swati has been active in the field of jewellery for the last 25 years. She specializes in real pearl and real stone jewellery. The bracelets, earrings, garlands made by her are being liked a lot. Only two days are left in Saras Mela but people’s enthusiasm for this fair is increasing.
