The District Town Planner Enforcement (DTPE) of the Town and Country Planning Department carried out a demolition drive in seven illegal colonies being cut illegally in villages Bahrampur and Kadarpur. The drive was carried out in illegal colonies falling under controlled and urban areas.
Under this drive led by DTPE Manish Yadav, four illegal colonies and one farmhouse colony were being cut in village Bahrampur, which was spread over about 16 acres.
During this action, 56 DPCs, seven boundary walls and road network were demolished. Similarly, two illegal colonies were demolished in village Kadarpur, which were spread over about four acres.
Large crowd gathered
Here five DPCs, one boundary wall and road network were razed to the ground. A large number of people gathered during the campaign. On this, the officials appealed to them not to invest their hard-earned money in such illegal colonies.
He advised the people to contact the DTP office before buying land or plot and get complete information. During the action, apart from DTPE Manish Yadav, ATP Aneesh Grover, Junior Engineer Sachin, Shubham, Parmil and other staff were present as duty magistrate. Two days before this, GMDA had taken action against encroachment on MG Road, Sohna Road, Fazilpur Road and Ghasola Road.
Sector 17 market and Sector 22 road made encroachment free
The enforcement team of Municipal Corporation Gurugram on Wednesday removed encroachment in Sector-17 market, Sector-22 road and surrounding areas. During this, temporary encroachments including street vendors, tracks, kiosks, boards, sheds were removed. The teams have also seized the goods of the encroachers. Also, on the spot, instructions were given not to encroach again, otherwise legal action will also be taken against them.
Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner Dr. Narhari Singh Bangar said that encroachment should not be done keeping in mind the public interest because encroachment causes problems to the common people and drivers. Due to encroachment on the roads, the roads become narrow, which causes traffic jams.
Similarly, the footpaths are not for keeping street vendors or goods but for pedestrians. He said that due to encroachment in the markets, not only the customers coming there face problems, but it also affects the traders of the market because in today’s time people also like to shop only where there is no encroachment.
