The crime branch of Gurugram police has busted an interstate gang that used to rob passengers in a car. This gang had robbed a person from Manesar on October 12. Police have arrested three accused who are residents of Trilokpuri in Delhi. During interrogation, the accused have confessed to committing many other crimes.
Jagran Correspondent, Gurugram. Manesar Crime Branch team has caught an interstate gang that used to rob passengers by making them sit in the car. On October 12, this gang had robbed a person from Manesar. After the victim’s complaint was registered in the police station, the Crime Branch took action and arrested three accused of the gang. All three are residents of Trilokpuri, Delhi.
Manesar Crime Branch in-charge Sub Inspector Lalit Kumar said that on Sunday, Manesar resident Sunil Kumar had lodged a complaint of robbery in Manesar police station. He had said that he was standing on the highway near Manesar on Saturday night waiting for a vehicle.
Sunil had sat in the car
Meanwhile, an Ecosport car stopped. There were three people in it. Sunil sat in it to go to Gurugram. After driving some distance, the people sitting in the car took Sunil’s purse at knife point and made him get down from the car. The Crime Branch team arrested three accused in this case near Shikohpur village on Sunday night.
Identification of the accused
They were identified as Ramesh, Gangaram and K. Selvaraj, residents of Trilokpuri, Delhi. During interrogation, the accused revealed the details of the robbery incident from the victim.
