Aviti Divya Rai, a resident of Supertech Aravali Sector 79, told the police in her complaint that she was searching something online. During this, she clicked on an investment link and joined a WhatsApp group. 170-175 people were connected to it. People in the group used to give advice about trading shares every day, which was absolutely correct. According to the victim, she saw in the group for several days that people were buying and selling shares every day and sharing their experiences.
On this, he also invested Rs 50,000. Later, he withdrew Rs 9000 and Rs 7000. Many people told on WhatsApp that investing in the stock market will earn more money and IPOs are easily allotted. On being convinced by the people, the victim invested money in two IPOs.
After this, when he tried to withdraw the money, he understood that he had been defrauded. The victim says that he had invested about 42 lakh rupees in several installments after getting convinced by the accused, which he did not get back. Cyber police station is investigating the matter.
