Gurugram news: Police have arrested two accused in the case of assaulting an auto showroom employee and injuring him with a screwdriver. The victim had asked the accused scooter rider to move aside by blowing the horn. A dispute broke out between the two over this and the accused, along with his brother, assaulted the victim. Sector 17/18 police station has recovered the scooter and screwdriver.
Sukhrali resident Devendra Singh works in a showroom. On June 4, in the morning, he left in his car to drop his wife Namita to the office. When he reached near MDI Chowk, the scooter driver Shahrukh was driving the scooter carelessly and was not giving way.
When Devendra Singh honked, the scooter driver stopped him and attacked him with a screwdriver. The accused attacked Devendra Singh on his chest, neck, waist and stomach and injured him.
The accused’s brother Adil, who reached the spot, snatched the phone from Devendra’s wife’s hand who was making a video of the incident and threw it on the road.
The local people admitted the victim to the government hospital. On the complaint of the victim, the police arrested Shahrukh and Adil from Sukhrali.
