Gurugram Electricity Cut: People in Badshahpur, Gurugram are facing a double whammy. On one hand, the maximum temperature here is above 45 degrees Celsius, while on the other hand, people are troubled by power cuts. Local people have submitted a memorandum to the SDO. In which they have said that the employees do not even pick up their phone. Officials are working to minimize power cuts.

The electricity crisis is increasing day by day. At present, the biggest problem of electricity is arising due to overloading of 220 substation Badshahpur and 220 substation Daulatabad.

On Tuesday, the team of United RWA Federation submitted a memorandum to SDO Vikram Parmar of New Palam Vihar regarding the problems being faced in Bajghera, Sarai Alawardi and New Palam Vihar areas. Vikram Parmar has promised to install 11 switches so that in case of a fault in one feeder, the power supply can be restored immediately by putting load on the other feeder.

There has been some or the other problem in Daulatabad substation for the past several days. This substation supplies electricity to most areas of the old city. On Tuesday, due to burning of the cable of the substation, power supply to about 18 feeders remained disrupted.

In this, supply of Vishnu Garden, Surat Nagar, Dhanwapur, Jahajgarh, Satya, Rajendra Park, Sher Singh Vihar-One, Sher Singh Vihar-Two, Daulatabad, Dharampur ATS Cocoon, Shobha City and Florentine feeders remained disrupted. Water treatment plant is supplied electricity from Daulatabad substation.

Due to the power supply of the plant getting disrupted, water problem also arises in the city. Regarding the power problem, the team of United RWA Federation also referred to the meeting held 20 days ago with the electricity SDO Vikram Parmar.

Sai Kunj RWA President Rakesh Rana said that a memorandum was given regarding the problems like unannounced power cuts, installation of new transformers, removal of old 25 KVA transformers installed by the World Bank and illegal electricity poles, staff not listening to electricity complaints at night, changing the electricity JE, rectifying the power coming from three phase to single phase, etc.

Vikram Parmar said that 11 switches will be installed to minimize power cuts. In case of a fault in one feeder, the switch will make it easy to connect the load to another feeder. Those who submitted the memorandum included Niranjan Singh, Payal Singh, Iman Kadyan, Diwan Yadav, KP Tiwari, Ram Mehar, Harish Sharma, Dinesh Yadav, Rajpal Gulia, Dharmendra, Manjeet etc.
