Gurugram Latest News: Dwarka Expressway, Sohna, Badshahpur, Pataudi, Farrukhnagar will be under surveillance of cameras.

Dwarka Expressway will be under surveillance of cameras: To strengthen the security system of the district, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is going to install 2722 CCTV cameras at 258 places including New Gurugram, Manesar, Farrukhnagar, Pataudi and Dwarka Expressway in the second phase. . The project worth around Rs 100 crore will include CCTV cameras, speed cameras, Automatic Number-Plate Recognition cameras (ANPR) and Red Light Violation Detection cameras.

In the first phase, about 1200 CCTV cameras have been installed at 212 locations in the city. For this, optical fiber has been laid within a radius of 50 kilometers in the city. With its help, monitoring is done from the command center with the help of these cameras. The installation of CCTV cameras at major places in the city is helping the police to curb crime. Police have revealed many cases with the help of CCTV cameras. Secondly, it helps the traffic police to control the vehicles. Due to this, challan is also being issued to those who violate traffic rules. Now in the second phase, CCTV cameras are being installed in Manesar, Pataudi and other areas.

Towns will also be under CCTV surveillance

Under the second phase of this project, 2722 hi-tech CCTV cameras will be installed at 258 locations including Sohna, Badshahpur, Pataudi, Farrukhnagar, Dhankot, Chandu Budhera, Panchgaon, Bilaspur, Hailey Mandi, Dwarka Expressway (Sector 89 to 108), KMP Expressway. (Badli, Farrukhnagar, Pataudi and Manesar), Central Peripheral Expressway and areas covered toll. Apart from this, it is also planned to lay about 300 km additional underground optical fiber cable to connect these locations to GMDA’s Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC), which will have 24×7 monitoring of live CCTV feed.

Now action will be taken against traffic violations

Traffic and violators are being monitored in the city through CCTV cameras. The CCTV cameras are also equipped with Artificial Intelligence technology to detect red light/stop line violations, helmet violations, wrong side/triple riding violations, speed violations and lane change violations, among others. Traffic violations related to red-lights, zebra crossing, wrong side driving, triple riding, parking violations, not wearing helmet or seat belt and vehicles without high security number plates using this hi-tech CCTV infrastructure installed by GMDA. Regular e-challans are issued for the same. The CCTV cameras installed in the second phase will also be equipped with such adaptive traffic management system. After this, people will not be able to drive carelessly in the villages. On doing so, the challan will be delivered directly to their home.

Surveillance will be done through facial recognition cameras

GMDA has also installed 48 face recognition cameras at various key locations in the city, including District Court, Mini Secretariat, MG Road Metro Station, Sikanderpur Metro Station, Civil Hospital, Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sheetla Mata Mandir Complex, Gurugram Bus Stand and Sadar. Markets are included. As per the requirement of the police department, these face recognition cameras are being used for general surveillance. Additionally, through facial recognition using artificial intelligence they help in locating persons with suspicious identities, criminals and missing persons reported to the police department.
