Gurugram. The bike of a person going from Rewari to Delhi was hit by a car from behind near Nexa showroom in Shivaji Nagar police station area of Gurugram on Wednesday night. A 54-year-old man who was seriously injured in the accident died during treatment at Medanta Hospital. The police sent the body for post-mortem.
According to the police, Ajay Kumar, resident of Kayasthwada of Rewari, was going to Delhi for personal work on bike at 12 o’clock on Wednesday night. When he reached Gurugram at 1.30 in the night, the car driver coming from behind hit the bike near the Nexa showroom in Shivaji Nagar police station area. After the accident, the driver fled from the spot along with the car.
Police registered a case and started investigation
People nearby took the injured Ajay to the civil hospital. Doctors referred him to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi in critical condition, but his family members took him to Medanta.
He died during treatment here. Ajay’s son Ankit has filed a case of negligence against the accused car driver in the police station. The police station said that the car has been identified. The accused will be caught soon.
